KOVIL - Collectible Miniature Temple Architectural Forms

The Kovil Collection is an exploration of temple architecture through form, material, and scale.

Drawing from the distinct silhouettes of temples across India, each piece translates architectural identities into simple wooden objects. By reducing these structures to their essential forms, the collection invites a new way of engaging with familiar cultural landmarks not as monuments, but as objects that can inhabit everyday spaces.

Crafted in wood and shaped through a process of observation and abstraction, the collection sits between architecture, memory, and design. Each form carries traces of a specific place while remaining contemporary in its expression.

Kovil is a set of eight wooden miniature temple forms inspired by India's rich architectural heritage. The collection draws from three major traditions; Dravidian, Nagara, and Ahom and translates monumental structures into intimate, hand-crafted objects. Made in Channapatna by trained wood artisans, each piece connects to the story of its original temple through a QR code.
